Rock magazines usually use red and black for their colour scheme. They use a lot of black but they don't exagerate using it because the magazine is overpowered by other sharp colours. They normally use bold text because it presents the magazine as bolder/stronger. The sharp colours represent their personalities, because they usually don't take orders from others and do as they please. Black represents their sad, dark personalities.
