Try defining each article by having a summary/title or name in bold or a different colour at the top of each page number. You need one more content number underneath the black line on the left as there is too much white space. The photo's may be too uniform in the way that they are aligned at the moment. Perhaps try tilting them or using a polaroid type of framing to make them stand out.
